Brisbane man named Brett Roberts has an unconventional hairstyle - hair that he says resembles a man of the stone age hairstyle when it was first perfected at a farm in Brisbane.

"What I love best all of my life is to have this shape in my head and when I think about it I want to have something that is more human, a little more human like me," Mr Roberts says.

"I think the face is very interesting, I think I was born with that, though it has the same features.

"Now I can look at it but when I look at the back of the head I like a little more human. It's just got a more human face, a little more human shape to it so I feel like I can have it just the right way.

"We got a bit of that in the last couple of years but for the next seven years we'll let people just get on with it and hopefully it stays like that," Mr Roberts says.

As he explains, his wife of 37-years and a number of children is also doing a hair restoration in the Queensland hills.

"If you don't like it in your hair you can buy something else and your hair is going to look really different."
